Hiking – refreshing for the soul
Is there a hike away from the heights, beyond dream loops, dream paths, medieval paths and everything that resourceful tourism people want to sell us? I grew up as a child in a small village. With my friends we were just outside. We disappeared after school in the fields, in the bushes and in the forest. Playing cowboys and Indians, building huts, climbing in the rocks and trees – this is what our childhood looked like.
On Sundays we had to go for a walk with our parents now and then, reluctantly, who does not know that. But from time to time were even quite interesting excursions. For example, when it was night in the pitch-dark forest at night, very softly, without a flashlight, to listen to the deer at the rut.
And today: Today, I hike via cramps, premium hiking trails, dream loops, dream trails and everything that tourism experts and marketing experts think up to lure active people into their region. I know many of these premium ways, know one or the other very well.
But I still like to find my own ways, so do not be shy and take the premium hiking trails. But it is most beautiful for me, if I just leave the marked paths, I beat myself through the undergrowth, without knowing where I’ll end up. Surprises are guaranteed. And until today I always found my way out again and again out of the forest. As the saying goes: Leaving the comfort zone but please do not bring now the foolish expression Microadventure to the table. Above all, hiking has the quality that it enriches the soul with new impressions and that’s what the soul needs to make it feel alive.
One more thing for the marketing of hiking trails by tourism professionals: Once a new certified way exists, old like to fall into oblivion, they are then no longer “marketed”. And what is no longer marketed, is no longer maintained. Dear Tourism Professionals: You seem to me like modern marriage swindlers. Only that not one is cheated here, but equaly whole masses. And yes: with your marketing you are ruining what you praise: “the green healing nature”.
